Harry Powell Report

It was a game to forget for the Field as their early goal was cancelled out by a Hanworth side that struck three times in a great second half display.

The Field took an early lead through Lui Edwards, as a throw-in is won by the Field, which Gogonas threw into the box and found the head of Wright, who flicked it onto the hands of the keeper, but he spilled it and fell into the path of Edwards who tapped it home.

Both side had good opportunities to score for the reminder of the first half, but it became a rather scrappy affair, with lots of long balls and loose balls which never really amounted to much.

The second half saw a slightly better display from the visiting side, to which resulted in a goal from top goal scorer Finlay Macnab, who finished well after capitalising on Balogun losing the ball.

The Field failed to capitalise on a strong response to the equaliser, with captain Luke Elliott hitting the edge of the post from point blank range and both Lui Edwards and Sekou Toure hitting their shots well over the bar.

The missed opportunities came to bite the Field in the behind eventually, as Alex Body found what was thought to be the winner in the 84th minute after rounding Gallifent and finishing from a tight angle, but the real winner was Sam Merson, who was played through one-on-one after a terrific ball was played to him, and he slotted with ease.
